Hello Parents,
Next week we only have school on Monday. Because we only have school the one day, we will review the letter "i" and the number 4. On Tuesday, there will be NO preschool. We will just meet at Sterling Park at 11:30. Please bring your own kite as we will not be able to supply kites for the children. You can also bring a picnic lunch to eat . We will be flying kites and playing on the playground equipment there. While we have a starting time, we will not have an official ending time. We might suggest you leave about 3:00, but that is not mandatory. Then Wed-Fri we do NOT have school. We teachers will be at Teacher's Conference on the other side of the state.
When we come back from vacation we will have our pictures taken on Tues, Oct. 14th. That week we will be learning about the letter "r" , the recorder, rhinos and Reggae music. We will also be looking into the number 5.
I'm very excited to tell you we have been able to book a field trip to Erie Orchard and Cider Miller on Thur, Oct 23rd. The cost is $10 per person, This includes a hayride, a glass of cider and a donut, picking 3 apples and 1 mini pumpkin. They also have a playground area that the children can play on after our tour. We will meet at the orchard about 9:50 at the main entrance. Everyone will pay for themselves at the Orchard on the same day as the trip. You can pay cash or credit card. The address is 1235 Erie Rd, Erie, MI. A flyer will be coming home with all the information.
Finally, I also want to make you aware that I am in the process of scheduling a field trip for Preschool and grades K-5 to the Imagination Station in Toledo, Ohio in early Dec. I don't have all the details yet, but I will get those to you as soon as I have them. I can tell you that the total cost for each child will be $15, and the cost for each adult will be just $8. Children are more because we have to pay for the workshop they will be going to participate in.
Thank you for all your patience! I hope you have a great vacation!

Sharon Dorow
