We all scream for ice cream!! Our ice cream and invisible ink experiments were a success this week. These are my favorite things to do! Hands-on learning is so great for your preschooler.
Along with the letter “I”, we learned about Moses. In this story we hear how Pharaoh was scared that the Israelites would threaten Egypt’s rule and ordered the killing of all the Israelite’s baby boys. Moses’ mother hid him as long as she could before placing him in a waterproof basket in the Nile River. Moses’ sister, Miriam, watched as he was found and adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter. Miriam then arranged it so that Moses’ mother was able to help raise him and teach him about God. Here is the short of Baby Moses by Saddleback Kids we watched. Saddleback Kids has a large collection of animated Bible stories that are engaging, creative, and biblically accurate. Check them out for other Bible stories to watch with your kids!
Our books this week were Toodle-oodle OOPS!!! by Bryan Jones, The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig, and Click, Clack, Peep by Doreen Cronin. You can watch the reading of The Invisible Boy here.
Next week will be a very short week. We’ll have one day in class and one day at Sterling State Park. Don’t forget to sign up at this link if you’re able to make it. Parents or grandparents will have to accompany your preschooler because we are not licensed to transport your child. I hope you all can make it!
