Small Group activities- We will paint rocks, crack open geodes, add Rr is for rock to our journals and try to recreated "crayon" rocks in a metamorphic and igneous way.

Large Group Activities- We will use our big muscles to carry buckets of rocks, dance to some rock music and have fun with rocks outside.

Tt is for Transportation.

This week we are looking and listening for the letter Tt and playing with different types of transportation. We are sorting what goes by land, sea and air and looking at the many different shapes in our modes of transportation!

The KDI for this week is Shapes- Children identify, name and describe shapes. We'll use shapes to make vehicles twice this week and use some big shapes to see what we can do!

Table Activities- Activities this week include creating a vehicle out of shapes, making tracks in paint and playdough, water play with boats, using a car trailing a marker to draw, playing with different types of transportation, a train track drawing prompt and a car wash.

Small Group- This week in small group we will make a vehicle out of shapes, paint a wooden vehicle, add Tt is for transportation to our journal and make a picture of transportation by land, sea and air.

Large Group- This week we'll take our vehicles outside to play, have giant cardboard shapes to make vehicles out of, fly gliders outside and be our own mode of transportation as we move in different ways.

Books of the Week- "Red Truck" by Kersten Hamilton, "Freight Train" by Donald Crews and "Cars and Trucks" by Richard Scary.

Bible Story- Our Bible story this week is about Abraham's grandson, Jacob. Jacob was a twin, he and his brother Esau, were born to Isaac and his wife Rebekah. Esau was older by just seconds and Jacob was born, holding on to Esau's heel. Isaac had a blessing for both his sons. God had made it clear that Jacob was to be the more blessed of the two, even though he was younger. Esau was Isaac's favorite and he was determined to give the greater blessing to him. Isaac felt his time was getting short, he was getting very old, he had already lost his sight and he thought he was going to die soon. He called Esau to him and instructed him to go and hunt, bring him the game meat prepared in the spicy stew he liked and he would then give Esau the blessing. Rebekah overheard this and she called Jacob, who was her favorite, to her. Together they conspired to trick Isaac. Jacob went to get one of the goats from his herd, his mother made the spicy stew. Because Esau was very hairy, Jacob took the skin of the goat and tied it to his arms and tucked it in his shirt so he would feel like Esau. He also went and got Esau's clothes on so he would smell like Esau. Jacob brought the stew to Isaac pretending to be Esau. Isaac believed him! He gave him the bigger blessing. When they had finished, Esau returned. He did everything his father had asked him and when he brought the stew to Isaac, Isaac was confused! Didn't I already give you the blessing? When they figured out that Isaac had been tricked, Esau was so angry, he was ready to kill Jacob. So, Jacob ran, far away to his mother's people. Jacob would never see his father alive again. Things get out of hand when we think God needs help to do what he says he will do! God's got us in His hands, he will make all things work for the good of those who love him! That's his promise. Trust in him and let him do what he will do! We especially don't want to excuse a sin by trying to use it to accomplish God's will. Speaking truth in love follows what God wants us to do! It's so easy to belittle others who don't share our opinion, especially behind a computer screen. Keep doing what God asks you to do and He will see us through!

Have a super week!
