Oct. 27-31 Happy Halloween!

 Hello! Happy Halloween!

It was so wonderful to see so many of you at our field trip to Erie Orchard yesterday! I hope y'all enjoyed it as much as I did. It was so nice to see and experience an orchard as it really is. Plus their desserts were quite yummy!! I'm also hoping to see many of you tonight at our Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat. The gym looks fabulous, and the games do look fun. The games start at 5:30 and end at 7:00. Trunk-or-Treat goes from 7:00-8:00 pm. I'll be in my dino costume.

Next week Thursday we will have a small costume party in our classroom. That means that the children can come to school in their Halloween costumes. We will play some Halloween themed games, and then they will Trick-or-Treat in our classroom.

This coming week we will look at the letter "n." We will be talking about nightmares and how we can help ourselves feel better and not so afraid. I will be suggesting they think up something funny about the dream. For instance, I will suggest that if there is a  monster in their dream, try pretending he's got on a funny hat or it talks in a silly voice. I will also suggest that instead of thinking about their bad dream, they think about something they really like to do, like a vacation spot, or playing with a friend, or playing a game, or riding a bike. I will also let them know that the best way to feel better is to pray to God and ask Him to help them not be afraid. We will also learn about the number 6.

Finally, Liz has told me that our classroom is chilly in the cold weather. If your child tends to be cold, please be sure to dress them appropriately. Also, we do go outside even in chilly weather. As long as it isn't raining, we will be going outside. So please be sure to send them with warm coats, and hats and gloves when necessary. We will also be going out in the snow, so when that type weather comes our way, please be sure to send them with snow pants, snow boots, hats and gloves. Thank you so very much for your cooperation! It is so greatly appreciated!

May God bless and keep you!

Sharon Dorow

P.S. Our next field trip is to the Toledo Imagination Station on Tues, Dec. 2nd. Grades K-5 will be joining us. More information will be coming home soon,
