R is for…

…reggae, rhinoceros, and our friends Rosalie and Rosalee! We also had fun looking for the letter “R” in other friends names like Andrew, Conner, Nora, Margot, Brady, and Marvin.

This weeks Bible story sees Moses running away to Midian and getting married to Zipporah. One day as he was tending to a flock of sheep he saw a burning bush that didn’t burn up! God spoke to him and told Moses to go back to Egypt and tell Pharaoh, “Let my people go!” Moses did as God commanded. Pharaoh eventually let the Israelites go, but not without a chase. God’s almighty power provided a dry path through the Red Sea. When the Israelites made it through, the water came back together. You can rewatch our Saddleback Kids vid here.

Our books this week were:

I’m looking forward to next week! It will be so much fun! Though, really, every week is! We’ll look at letter “P” and pumpkins and pirates. Then we’ll finish off our week with a fun field trip to Erie Orchards. It’s $10 per person payable upon arrival. Please let us know if you’ll be attending before Thursday so we don’t start without you!

On Friday, October 24, Zion will be hosting our annual Harvest Party. There will be games, pizza, and a trunk or treat. Please make sure to wear a school appropriate costume. There’s a signup genius if you can donate anything. I’ve attached the flyer, and hope you can make it!

Now, onto our pictures from the week. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend!
