HELLO PARENTS!!! WELCOME TO OUR BLOG!
Boy, has this been a wonderful beginning week! The kids have been so great! They have been very cooperative and eager to do whatever Mrs. Siebert or I have asked of them. Sometimes they have been disappointed because they wanted more time to play, but that's usual. In fact, that never goes away. 😊
This week we talked about colors and played a quick game to find the color bug I asked them to get. We will continue to talk about colors this coming week. We will also begin to talk about shapes next week, along with the number zero. That number tends to throw some kids a curve ball, but they understand better after it has been explained to them. We rarely talk about the number zero, so it us understandable.
Our Bible lesson this past week was about how God created the world. We discussed that God made the world because He loves us and wanted to give us His best. Next week we will talk about how God made the first man and the first woman. He made them differently than He did the rest of creation because we are the most special of all the things He made.
There are a few things that will be happening in September, but I wanted to let you know about them now so you can put them on your calendar. These 2 events happen on the same day. That date is Sunday, September 13th. That is Christian Education Sunday here at Zion. In the 9:00 am service the whole school-including the Preschool children will be singing! The Preschool children don't sing very often in church, so I really hope many of you can make it. Then starting at noon that day, we will have the Pinewood Derby. Anyone who would like to participate may. Young (yes, even the Preschool children may participate) and old alike may make a car. There are workshop days if you don't have the proper power tools at your house, Those day can be found on the monthly calendar. The kit to make a car are available to purchase in the office for $5 per car. There is also a flyer about the Pinewood Derby on the black table by the entry doors marked "A."
I hope your child had fun at school this week. May God bless you all!
Serving You and God with Joy,
