Hello Parents,
I'm so excited for this coming week! There is a great deal of fun things happening. The first exciting thing is this Sunday, Sept. 13th in our 9:00 am service. The children in grades Pre-2 will be singing the song "Glory to Heaven" at the very beginning of the service. Please bring your child to our classroom by 8:45. You will drop off your child, and then you can get a seat in church. We will bring the children to church and have them go to the front of church to sing. When they are done singing, they will be looking for you so they can sit with you for the rest of the service. I suggest that when the children are done singing, you stand up and quietly call your child. This will help them find you a bit easier. Of course, Mrs. Seibert and I will help the children, too.
Our next event is at noon on Sunday also. That will be the Pinewood Derby. That takes place in our gym. If you have not already made a car, unfortunately, you won't be able to participate. You can watch the races, however. It's a fun day. There will be food to purchase, also.
On Wednesday, it is Grandparents/Special Person day. That starts at 8:00 am as usual. Instead of bringing your child to our classroom, Grandparents can take your child straight to the church. At 8:00 we will have a short church service. When that is over, we ask that the Grandparents bring the children to the gym. There we will take the children with us. That is because the Preschool children will be providing a bit of entertainment. When they are done, the children will again sit with their Grandparents. We will play Bingo. When that is over, the Grandparents can take the children home. There will be no afternoon Preschool that day.
Finally, on Thursday, we will be joining the Kindergarten children for part of the day to learn to dance with scarves . I am very excited! We will still have Show and Tell that day, however.
This coming week will be a review of the letters A and B and the numbers 1 and 2.
Hope you have a great weekend!,
