The Last Week in April already!!

Hello !This week was full of many fun things (at least I thought they were fun). We learned about the letter "e," and the 2 sounds it can make. It was also exciting because we finally got to Elijah, Evelyn, and Evie! It seemed to take forever to get to their names! Plus we got to learn somethings about elephants. But we didn't stop there! We also learned about butterflies, and made some butterfly art. Then Mrs. Seibert was her usual super cool self, and bought some caterpillars so we can watch them turn into a cocoon, and then a butterfly. It is very fun to see the caterpillars going bigger literally every single day.We are already excited to release the butterflies. We also planted some sunflower seeds, Indian corn seeds, and mini pumpkin seeds. When they are big enough plants we will plant those plants around our playground and one of the raised bed gardens.

We have officially started to learn our songs for the Spring Fling on May 8th at 6:30. The whole school performs  various songs and/or skits. I hope you all can make it. So far we have been learning "Yankee Doodle" and "The Lord's Army." I am hoping to add more things, but I'm trying to not get too ambitious and overload the children.

Next week we will be learning about the letter "x." We will learn about x-ray fish and the xylophone. We will continue to talk about butterflies. By the way, check out our windows to see the beautiful butterflies we made with coffee filters. In Math, we will continue to work out story problems-especially subtraction story problems.

Finally, we have some fun water play toys. This coming week is supposed to be cooler, so we will not be using those water toys yet. When it warms up, I will let you know in advance that I will be letting them play in water. That means that when you come pick them up, they will be pretty wet. You will want to think about bringing a towel for them or a change of clothes. I will let you know in advance however.

I hope you have a great weekend!! God bless you!
