Sept 15-18

 Hello Parents!

This week was fun but busy! Monday started out great with a visit from Mrs. Seibert's snake. What a nice snake! Almost everyone pet or touched the snake. Some of the kids even held the snake! We made Slime, learned a cool nursery rhyme, painted with just a string, and had our first Show and Tell. What a great week. We will have Show and Tell every Thursday for every child.

This week coming up will be exciting, too! On Wednesday it is Grandparents day! Grandparents are invited to school for chapel, a short audience participation song led by the Preschoolers, and Bingo! Moring preschool Grandparents can come to school at the beginning of the day at 8:00. It will probably end after an hour to an hour and a half. Afternoon preschool Grandparents day will begin at 2:00, and end at 3:00 at the usual close of the day.

This coming week we are not learning another letter. Instead we are going to have an author study about Lucille Colandro. This is a very silly book, and the children really like them. She has written many books that start out, "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a ..." We will also be looking at the numbers 1, 2, and 3.

This Sunday (Sept 14th) the children in grades Preschool-8th  grade will be singing in church here at Zion. There are very few opportunities for the Preschool children to sing here, so I really hope that most of you will be able to bring your child here on Sunday at 9:00 am. They will be singing the song we sing every Wednesday in chapel, so the children are very excited about it! (Unfortunately, I have a wedding this weekend up North, and won't be able to make it back for the service.)

I pray God blesses you abundantly!

Serving Christ in Joyful Song,

Sharon Dorow
