The greatest gift!

Every year, Christmas arrives full of sparkles, twinkling lights, and full of expectations. Generosity, thoughtfulness, and cheerfulness fill the stores as we make lists, hunt for the perfect presents, and hope the gifts we give will bring joy to our family and friends. But beneath the wrapping paper and the glow of lights is a much better story. The story of the very first Christmas. The story of hope for all. There were no carefully planned celebrations or perfectly prepared homes and it definitely wasn’t extravagant. Instead, there was a young couple, a stable, and a newborn baby laid in a manger. It was quiet. It was humble. It certainly was no place for the birth of a baby. And yet it was extraordinary beyond measure.

The gifts we exchange at Christmas are meaningful, but they are temporary. Take a moment to remember that the greatest gift, Jesus, came to bring light into darkness, hope into brokenness, peace into a restless world, and life everlasting.

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! And I hope that your 2026 is happy, healthy, and blessed! If you and your family are looking for a fun New Year’s Eve celebration, join us at Zion in the gym. Click on the pic for more info.
