Merry Christmas!! Dec. 15-19

Can you believed it is already the last week of the year? I just can't believe it's already this close to Christmas! But I AM super excited for this coming Wed when the children will be performing their Christmas program! This will be my first Preschool only Christmas program. Because of that, I really didn't know what to expect from the kids. I just wasn't sure how much they could learn, or how well they could learn it. What a fabulous discovery to find out that they are truly amazing! The kids are doing such a great job of memorizing and singing and reciting! I am very pleased.

My apologies to all of you-especially the afternoon families. There was a mix-up, unfortunately. There will be ONLY ONE CHRISTMAS PROGRAM this Wed (the 17th). Both the "morning" and "afternoon" children will come to school at 8:00 am. (So all 18 children will be here together on that morning.) We will spend some time getting to know each other. We will also practice our Christmas program as one big group. After our practice, we will probably go outside to get rid of some of our energy. (If the children are in their "fancy" Christmas clothes, then we will probably just go into the gym. Finally, we will meet you in the church at 10:30 for our service. When you come to church there will be a table with some bulletins on it. Each family will get 6 bulletins that are meant for just your family. That is because you child will be coloring a picture that goes on the front of the bulletin.  When the service is over, we will meet you back in our classroom so you can get their backpacks and coats. Finally, there will be NO AFTERNOON Preschool on the 17th as they came to school in the morning. If you have any questions, please talk to me. We will get it all straightened out.

The next day, Thur, the 18th we will have a morning and afternoon Preschool as usual. Each session will have a party and exchange presents. That means that you can bring in the present your child will exchange any day now. We will put them under our Christmas tree. Every year, I tell the children that they cannot receive a gift unless they bring one to give to their "secret Santa" person.

This week, of course we will really be focusing on our Christmas program. But I do we will be able to do some learning. So we will learn a bit about the letter "g." and rectangles. But because our learning time will be shortened, we will also learn about the letter "g" and rectangles the first week  in January of the new year.

Thank you for putting up with me and my boo boos and mistakes and misunderstandings this half of the school year. I am so grateful for you patience and forgiveness. This year has been such a blessing and joy to me. I thank God for all of you! Hopefully there will be less of those in the new year. May God bless you and grant you a  very happy, joyous and memorable Christmas as you celebrate the birth of our Savior.
