Hi Parents!
The kids are so fun. They were so excited to go fishing yesterday!! They kept asking where the water was. Well, we didn't catch real fish. We just caught paper ones with a magnet on the end of our "fishing pole." But they really did enjoy themselves. I was impressed with their patience and fine motor skills.
Another thing I am impressed with is how quickly they are starting to learn our Christmas program! I am getting so excited for that already! They are going to be fabulous! (Hopefully they won't get too nervous. I will talk to them about nerves and how to hopefully get past that.) Both the morning and the afternoon children will be performing the Christmas program together in the church at 10:30 am. This will take place on the 17th of December. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.
This next week will be a short week of school. We will only have school on Mon and Tues. Because it is such a short week, we will not be learning a new letter or number. The week will just be a review week. There is one special thing next week, however. That is the Gobble Wobble Parade! That will happen on Tues. For the morning session, it will be held at 11:00. For the afternoon session, it will be held at 3:00. If you would like your child to participate in this cool event, please be sure to help your child make his/her float. Then bring it to school next week. (If you bring it to school on Monday, we will just keep it here for you until the next day.) I really hope your child can join us for this fun activity!. This is just one of the many extra and super cool things this school does to help make your child feel special. It also helps to teach your child to become involved in community things. This activity is one of those things that makes Zion such an awesome school. I am so happy and proud to be part of this great school!
Finally, most of the children were sent home with a note about our gift exchange that will take place during our Christmas party here at school on the 18th of December. The children drew names, and will buy a present for the child whose name they picked. I'm asking you spend between $10-$15 on the gift. You were given an idea or 2 about what that child might like to receive as a present. If you didn't get a paper yet, you will get it on Mon. There were some absent children, so I couldn't send all of the notes home yet. The note should explain everything you need to know. But if I missed something, please don't hesitate to ask!
God bless you!!
