Nov. 17-21

 Hello Parents,

The time just flies! We are definitely in the busy season already! There are some events coming up soon. The first event is our Wild Safari this Wed (Nov. 19th) There will be a company coming to our school that will be bringing some animals for us to learn about and even a few to touch. (At least that is my understanding, but I could be wrong.) At 10:15, we will go with the Kindergarten class to see these animals. Of course the  morning Preschool children will be here. Afternoon children are definitely invited to come at 10:15 also. This will last about an hour, so morning parents, please come into the gym to pick up your child. Afternoon parents, when the hour is over, you can eat lunch with your child. You could either go out to eat, or eat a packed lunch with them in the gym. Unfortunately, you won't be able to eat in our classroom because Mrs. Siebert and I will be cleaning the room as usual in between sessions.

The next event is our Gobble Wobble parade. A flyer went home about that. We are asking you to build a "float" with your child at home. The base is a shoe box you cover over with paper. (We have some extra shoe boxes here if you need one. Just let us know.) Then you can decorate the top of the shoe box with anything your child likes. Then on Tues, Nov. 18th, we will have a parade both at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. You are welcome to come to both,  or just the one. The children will walk, pulling their "float" behind them. We hope to do this outside if the weather permits. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

The third event coming up is on Tues, Dec 2nd. This is a field trip to the Imagination Station in Toledo. Grades Preschool-5th will be going. If you are able to join us, you will need to pay in advance. Again, a flyer has gone home about that. We need the money in no later than THIS FRIDAY, NOV. 21st. The children will be doing an extra workshop about marble mazes. The children love to play with our marble maze here at school, so I know they will really enjoy it.

Next week we will be learning about the letter "f." We will talk about the flute, feelings, and frogs. We will also review numbers 1-7 and talk about a square. We are continuing to learn our Christmas program. I am really impressed with how quickly they have learned our songs!

Finally, I wanted to let you know that we DO go OUTSIDE for recess every day unless it's raining. If there is snow on the ground, we DO go outside. So please send boots, snow pants, hats and gloves/mittens to school. The children really enjoy going outside and playing in the snow.
