Happy Fall! I hope you all had a wonderful time trick or treating. The weeks seem to be going by faster and faster. I can’t believe it will be Thanksgiving in 25 days. How crazy is that?
This week we learned about the letter “N”. We have a friend named Nora and some of us even have n’s in our name. Our books this week were, There’s a Nightmare in My Closet by Mercer Mayer and Noisy Nora by Rosemary Wells.
In our Bible story this week we focused on Joshua and the Promised Land. To get into the Promised Land Joshua and the Israelites had to capture Jericho.
Jericho was a big, strong city with huge walls around it. It looked impossible to capture, but God had a special plan. He told Joshua to march around the city for 7 days. The first 6 days they were to march once a day around the city walls without making a sound. On the 7th day they marched around the city walls seven times. After the seventh time Joshua told the Israelites to shout and the priests blew their trumpets. The walls of Jericho fell flat! God had given them the city just as he promised. This was just the start of the Promised Land. The Israelites captured many other cities after that. What a great story to remind us that God will never fail to fulfill His promises.
