Not a Box!

Good morning PreK fam! I hope you had an amazing weekend. Have you counted how many days are left of preschool? 9. 9 days. It’s gonna be jam packed, but we’re gonna have fun!

Sorry for the information overload-

First is the Mud Hens game on Wednesday. You are more than welcome to join us for chapel before the game at 8am, and we’ll leave Zion around 9am. Everyone should have their tickets, so feel free to come to the game whenever. There are multiple places to park around 5/3 Field, and most of them are pretty cheap, if not free. I’d suggest bringing cash to pay for parking just in case. I usually park over by Grumpy’s on S Huron Street. It’s a quick walk to 5/3 and an easy out when it’s time to leave. If you’re not coming to the game, enjoy your day off! We’ll see you on Thursday!

Next up is our Spring Fling on Friday! This is a variety show we put on every other year. Our theme this year is Americana as we look forward to celebrating 250 years of independence. The kiddos have been practicing so hard! I hope you all can make it. It’s from 7-9 pm which is a little late for our preschoolers, but not to worry, we’ll take the stage first in case anyone needs to leave early.

Here are some upcoming events to mark on your calendars. If you have any questions, feel free to ask us at pickup or dropoff.

In discussion with the race committee, the Start of Summer Invitational Pinewood Derby on Saturday, May 16 will allow cars that have raced in previous derbys! If you don't have time to make a new car, dust off that previous winner, soup it up, and bring it to the derby race on May 16! If you want to recheck weight or have a few repairs to do, bring it by for a pre-race inspection after school or to the workshop on May 9.

Our Painted Lady caterpillars are forming chrysalises! Pretty soon we’ll be releasing some new butterflies into the world. Check them out sometime!

Now, here are our pictures from box week. We had fun making a burning building and playing firefighter, driving a race car, going camping, flying in an airplane, and hanging in our castles. See you all tomorrow!
