February…

The month of love. When we asked the kids what was so special about February they’ll all yelled Valentine’s Day!! We have no school on Valentine’s so we’ll celebrate Thursday!

This week was a lot of fun learning about puzzles  I’ll admit that I never did a lot of those with my girls, and I love puzzles! The kids caught on quickly and were pros by the end of the week.

In our Bible story this week we heard about Jesus walking on water. You can find it in Matthew 14:22-33.

After Jesus fed the people, He told His disciples to get into a boat and go across the lake. Jesus stayed behind to pray by Himself. While the disciples were in the boat, the wind was strong and the waves were rough. The boat was far from shore, and the disciples were struggling. Early in the morning, Jesus came to them walking on the water. When the disciples saw Him, they were scared and said, “It’s a ghost!” But Jesus spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”Peter said, “Lord, if it is You, tell me to come to You on the water.”Jesus said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when Peter saw the wind, he became afraid and began to sink. He cried out, “Lord, save me!” Right away, Jesus reached out His hand and caught Peter. Jesus said, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”When they climbed into the boat, the wind stopped. The disciples worshiped Jesus and said, “Truly You are the Son of God.” Saddleback Kids has a cute animated short here.

Our fave book this week was The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Sciezska, illustrated by Lane Smith. What a hilarious take on the 3 little pigs story. I’m team wolf. Poor guy was just misunderstood.

Blessings on your weekend! See you Monday!
