Hola! I hope you are surviving and cold and snow. It sure has been a cold and snowy winter! I can't remember the last time it was like this! Keep your hope up, however. God has promised that Spring WILL come.
This past week we learned the song entitled "The Goldfish Song" by Laurie Berkner. We really enjoyed that song! Laurie is funny, and sings some really silly songs. (Laurie will be in concert in Royal Oak this summer!) The kids loved saying, "Wait a minute! We're goldfish! We don't do that!" Next week we are going to learn a fun Valentine's song from the Learning Station.
We have been learning to say the days of the week in Spanish. (Did I tell you they start saying the days of the week with Monday instead of Sunday?) We are starting to catch on. When we get into the month of March, we will start to say the months of the year in Spanish also.
In Math, we started to learn about patterns. For our age children, that can be a bit of a tricky concept. Perhaps you saw our worksheet. We will continue to sporadically learn and talk about patterning. We also continue to talk about the numbers.
This week we will be learning about the letter "v" for Valentine's Day. We will also be having a Valentine's party on Thursday. Last week's blog has a list of all the children in both sessions. We will be making volcano apples on Thursday!! I've never done that before, so I am very excited.
Our Bible lesson next week is the lesson of the Good Samaritan.
Sorry. My mind is a blank today. Well, I guess the good side is this is a short blog so it won't take long to read it! God bless you!!
