This week we think about others, giving them gifts, making gifts for family and sharing the gift of the Savior in our Christmas service.
This week our KDI is building relationships- Children build relationships with other children and adults. We try hard to keep the lines of communication open so we can model problem solving and encourage our students to talk to their peers to solve issues and build relationships instead of resorting to physical interactions or yelling. We are all still learning to do this well as adults, our children are working on it too! We give each other lots of grace and time!
Table Activities- This week students will have the opportunity to play with Christmas playdough, make Christmas cards, make ornaments, stack some pretend gifts, use fine motor skills with pipe cleaner activities and any other crafts and activities we have done over the past two weeks.
Small Group- This week we are making some gifts for parents, Shh!
Books of the Week- "The Pine Tree Parable" by Liz Curtis Higgs and "The Birds of Bethlehem" by Tomie dePaola.
Bible Story- This week we are reviewing the Christmas story from the travels of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem to the Angels appearing to the shepherds, to the shepherds seeking out Jesus in the stable in Bethlehem and the shepherds returning to their fields glorifying and praising God for all they had seen and heard which was just as they had been told! Can't wait to share it all with you on Wednesday!
