AAHHHH!! Where has the time gone hea?? It's Halloween next Saturday!

 Hello Parents,

I can't believe Halloween is almost here already! So before I forget, we WILL have a small Halloween party here in our classroom on Thursday of this coming week. Yes, the children can definitely wear their costume to school if that is ok with you. We will play a game or 2, but we will also do some learning.

This coming up week is also Parent/Teacher conferences! On Tuesday, I will send home a short report card. This  does not go in your child's permanent school record. This is more of an informational report for your benefit. If your child does not know everything on this report card, please don't worry. One, it's still early in the school year. 2. Children learn at different paces. Finally, if you would like to talk to me about your child's report card, please sign up for a conference. Each conference runs about 15 minutes. These happen Wed. and Thurs. from 3:30-7:00 pm, and Friday during the day. These are not mandatory conferences, however. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

This week we learned about Freddy Fish and the letter "f." I've really enjoyed hearing what the children already know about the various animals we have learned about. They are smart! This week is a review week of the letters we have learned so far. We've got some exciting games planned for our review. I'm excited!! We will also be learning the song "If I Were a Ghost" by Simple Songs.

A week from tomorrow will be our Harvest Festival and Trunk-or-Treat night.  This will start at 6:00. There will be games for the kids to play, and food for purchase. There will also be the Trunk-or-Treat from 7:30-8:00 pm. (I could be wrong on the exact times for the Trunk-or-Treat.) If you go online, there is a list of items that we need to have donated for this party to be successful. Please consider donating some of these things. I just talked to the organizer of this event, and she said many donations are still needed.

I hope you had fun at the Imagination Station. I learned a great deal, and also had lots of fun. We have another field trip planned for Tues, Nov. 2nd at The Sandbox in Toledo. I hope all of you can come. I have never been there, but I've heard many good things about it. They have a nice website, if you want more information on that. If you are planning on going, please be sure to bring in your permission slips and money. Thank you so much!
