Our KDI for the week is reading- Children read for pleasure and information. We will be reading mostly for pleasure this week, we will contrast that with books that we read for information, which can also be reading for pleasure, depending on your interest!
Table Activities- This week our table activities will include elephant and piggie playdough, Pigeon and duckling cookie clothespins, invite to create elephant, piggie or pigeon, giving the pigeon a bath, Mo Willems coloring pages, Mo Willems bookmarks, nest building from "There's a Bird on Your Head" and piggie and elephant masks.
Small Group Activities- In our small groups this week we will make elephant and piggie popsicle stick puppets, follow directions to draw a pigeon, add a Don't Let the Pigeon... to our journal and explore our favorite Mo Willems books.
Large Group Activities- We will be playing with some elephant and piggie inflatables outside and moving like the pigeon with our pigeon action dice!
